Tom Bradys mysterious Twitter photo was just a teaser for a Super Bowl commercial

The mystery of Tom Brady’s uncaptioned Twitter photo has been solved.

It turns out Brady was just teasing a Super Bowl commercial.

The New England Patriots quarterback appeared during the television broadcast of Super Bowl LIV late in the first quarter in a commercial for Hulu.

The ad plays off the retirement speculation that has surrounded Brady in recent years, and only heightened since the end of the season, with the signal-caller now set to become a free agent. He talks about all good things coming to an end, and knowing when to walk away — then soon pivots to talking about Hulu.

“It’s time to say goodbye to TV as you know it,” Brady says in the ad. “Me? I’m not going anywhere.”

The ad aired three days after Brady posted a black-and-white photo on his Twitter account of himself walking through a tunnel, his back to the camera. The photo, posted without a caption or explanation, led to a minor furor among Patriots fans because there has been speculation that Brady, 42, could be nearing the end of his career or leaving for another team.
